Services to our community

Reading Community Library, located at 104 N. Main Street in Reading, provides services to all residents living within the library district, which includes the city of Reading, Reading Township, and the contracted municipality of Cambria Township.   Services are available to all others for a nominal fee of $10.00 per family, per year.

Our library system holds over 13,000 items including books and audio-visual materials which include Audiobooks, Music CDs and DVDs. We have over 800 DVDs available, including many new releases, for $1.00 per title.   All proceeds go towards the purchase of additional DVDs.

In addition to these items, hundreds of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, to access the Internet through the library’s high speed connection, or to attend one of the library’s events.  Mel.org, Overdrive and Ancestry.com services are also provided.

Our friendly and professional staff is eager to serve you.
